It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
December rolled around so quickly, and even now we are already half way through it! So with Christmas parties, family dinners and friend reunions, I thought I would share my top five pairs of earrings for each festive occasion!
the bohemian
These baby pink, tasseled earrings were the first pair that immediately caught my eye. This trend is so huge, and has been for the most part of 2017! I call them the bohemian style because, well, it’s pretty self-explanatory. They are simple, yet make a huge statement, which I find very bohemian-esque. And of course, I am a huge sucker for this shade of pink – so it wasn’t difficult for me to fall for them immediately. The perfect pair of earrings to wear to a more casual year-end function, but also the right pair when wanting to match the Christmas tree.. (not really) but nonetheless, still extremely sophisticated!
the classic
Understated, beautiful, shiny and elegant. These thick, hooped earrings definitely lean more to the ‘classic’ side of things. Rimmed with gold, a silver centre, and some sparkles just screams Audrey Hepburn to me. Probably more so because she was (and still is) the queen of classic. I can just picture these paired with a very simple, little black dress and some beautiful heels – and there you go! You’ve got yourself the perfect ‘black tie’ evening outfit.
the rebel
These may be a little more than your ‘girl next door’ style, but that could also be a little bit of an exaggeration! This whole aesthetic just makes me think of deep colours, lots of gold jewellery, bold fashion choices and stepping out of your comfort zone. I never really thought that a single pair of earrings could communicate all of that, but somehow these do. These are a different take on the tassel style like the pale pink ones, but in a more ‘rock ‘n roll’ kind of way. I would say that they would be best paired with a good pair of stilettos and a leather jacket – maybe not so suited for Christmas, but possibly for reigning in the New Year?
the sophisticated
This pair of earrings is such a different style to what I have seen lately. They are so pretty and unusual, the main reason why I like them so much! I think these are perfect for lighter shades of clothing, like your earthy tones. The marble effect of the balls would really tie in nicely with a light grey outfit, or even soft beige. They could be worn for an early evening cocktail party or a lunch – with a tied back hairstyle to make them really stand out too!
the simple
Last but not least, my beautiful silver leaf earrings. I love these so much. I wear these the most I think, because they are so versatile and can really be worn with anything! Whatever outfit you throw on for your Christmas party or function, whether it’s pink, silver, white, gold or purple, these will match. And that’s the simple beauty of them! They are so delicate, so they create for a very elegant look, but the detail on the leaves are so precise that it creates a statement all on its own!
