Pineapple of my Eye

You know by now how important packaging is to me. You’ve seen me ramble on and on and on about how I appreciate when products are presented in the prettiest casing or arrive in the most beautiful boxes. It really makes the whole experience of make-up and beauty even more special for me. Obviously the actual product is the most important part, but the packaging sets the whole mood. So you can just imagine how I felt when I opened up this Tarte ‘Pineapple of my Eye’ palette.

I feel like this set from Tarte really embodies what I believe make-up should be: fun and carefree. And I absolutely love that! The whole set included the palette, a mascara, an eye liner, and a lipstick. All in the cutest packing, naturally, and all equally mesmerising.

The palette…

The star of the show is, of course, the pineapple-shaped palette. It is amazing in more ways than one. Firstly, it includes a bronzer, 2 blushes, and a highlight (or, as I like to use it, a blush topper – to add that extra shine on your blush.) The texture is so soft and creamy, it applies beautifully on the face, and the blending is a dream! The eyeshadows on the other side of the palette are no different. The shades definitely give me mermaid vibes, with their sparkly finishes and rich, rich pigment. It’s really a stunning product to have because you can stick to really neutral looks, with the combination of browns, taupes, and rusts. Or you can kick your make-up look up a notch and experiment with teal, purple, silver or gold. The choice is yours, that’s the beauty of it! I really had so much fun with this palette over my December holidays. I played around with the blue/green shades, paired with some gold, and they definitely complemented my beach holiday location. I was 100% channeling my inner mermaid!

The mascara…

The Lights, Camera, Lashes came in the set too. This little mascara may be small, but let me tell you, it’s a large force to reckon with. It’s evidently a perfect travel size, but for those who don’t travel regularly, it also makes it convenient to keep in your bag so you can reapply if needed. The wand is the perfect size, I personally think – I don’t love wands that are too thin, I prefer when they are thicker and help to create a more voluminous, dramatic effect. I definitely found that even with this miniature mascara, the wand was the perfect shape and size, and it fulfilled my desires amazingly!

The liquid liner…

Liquid liners usually give me the idea of drama, boldness, and pure confidence. With the name of this Tarte one, Sex Kitten Liquid Eyeliner, I’d say that it is absolutely spot on with my expectations! The liner is very smooth and pigmented. I found the tip of the liner so nice and sharp that I could certainly create a bold wing indeed. What more can you ask for from a liquid eyeliner besides sharpness, precision, and drama? Enough said.

The lipstick…Pineapple

The Rainforest of the Sea Collection Lip Quench Rescue Balm is what that cute, miniature tube above contains. The words ‘quench rescue balm’ alone are enough to get me hooked on this product. Your girl over here is always on the lookout for any form of hydration or rescue for her dry lips! The shade is pink, but it’s an extremely sheer formula, which is absolutely perfect to throw on with any make-up – if any at all. It also smells kind of minty and I had no complaints about that. It’s basically just a really nice product to carry with you for touch ups throughout the day, especially if you like a tinted lip balm with a refreshing smell, then you’ve hit the nail on the head.

Have you had a chance to try out any of these Tarte  products? If not, let me know which ones you’d be most  likely to!
