For those of you who know me by now, it will not come as a surprise to you that I am insanely obsessed with bronzed makeup. I love adding bronze’s into my makeup looks. And isn’t Summer all about that sun-kissed skin anyway? (Which by the way I NEVER get – the pale life chose me, sadly.) But thanks to makeup we can pretend that’s not a problem at all! I hope you enjoy this look.

I have been using this Catrice ‘Prime and Fine’ primer. I am incredibly happy with it too! I’ve always struggled with my dry skin, and so during the day my makeup starts flaking. However, since I’ve started applying this before my foundation, my skin is left moisturised throughout the day. It’s actually quite insane… Plus it’s affordable and can be found at Clicks or Dischem!

For this look I used all my usual favourites. My Stila Aqua Glow foundation in ‘Light’ is still making me very happy. As well as my Essence ‘Lash Princess’ mascara and my Rimmel ‘Extra 3D Lash’ mascara.

Basically for this look I used 4 different shadows. They are all from my Morphe palette. This palette literally has the most amazing bronzes and browns – I have shown it in previous posts. Starting off, I applied a natural, light beige to the entire lid. On the outer corners, I used a slightly darker brown and blended this up into the crease. Making sure I didn’t make a very sharp cut-crease line, but it’s always nice to define the crease. I then took an even darker browny/bronze shade and applied it over this and also up into the crease This is to bring a bit of a glow to the eye and also helps with blending further. And lastly, on my inner lid I used a very light, shimmery nude to highlight.

I repeated the same steps on my bottom lash line. Starting with the natural beige, the dark brown, a shimmery bronze/brown and then on the inner corner of my bottom lash line I applied the same light nude that was applied on my lid.

A little finishing touch for the eyes that I have absolutely loved using lately, is the Rimmel Scandal Eyes bronze pencil. It’s very thick, but super soft and blendable. I applied this on my top lash line, from the outer corner of my eyes until about midway into my eyelid. I blended it quite a bit, especially as it went further into my eyelid, just so that it didn’t make a solid line that stopped randomly on my lid.

I’ve been playing around with mascara’s lately, I think it’s my favourite beauty product at the moment! So in this look I used two different kinds. Obviously this isn’t necessary, but it’s fun to see what happens. I used the Extra 3D Lash on both top and bottom lashes, and then I applied the Lash Princess on my top lashes. This mascara is more for volume, while the Extra 3D Lash is more for definition. I love experimenting with them!

My brows were filled in with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow pomade in ‘Light brown’. I used a dark brown eyeshadow to contour my cheekbones, and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in ‘Gleam’ to highlight.

For this makeup look, a really nice and glowing finishing touch would be to apply some bronzer on the face.  (Duh Lauren, it’s a bronzed makeup look is it not?) I don’t usually apply too much, because already being pale and then adding patches of bronze here and there on top of that isn’t so flattering. However, if applied lightly on the cheek bone and a bit around the forehead, you’ll achieve a really beautiful, natural bronzed-finish. 🙂

My blush is Rockateur by Benefit and on my lips I just used the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. Honestly, this stuff is a miracle worker. If you struggle really badly with dry lips like I do, do yourself a favour and purchase this beauty. It’s so lovely.
